Tough Table .. While it Lasted

Back in the corner of the Tournament Poker Room here at the Peppermill, away from the bells, whistles and music of the slot machines, out of the traffic flow of players moving through the room is one very tough table.

Jason Somerville is holding court in the 5 seat, telling stories from "Back in the Day," of 2007 (That's right, he said 2007 ... I have shoes Jason's age).

To Jason's left is Jr. Merafuentes, runner-up in the All-Around Players Championship and 16th in the $1,100 Main Event at the recently-concluded Turlock Poker Room 10th Anniversary Series in central California. To Jr.'s left is Pablo Gutierrez (not Gonzalez) who took down Friday's version of this very same tournament, a $220 Hold'em for $5,010. Around to the 2 seat is David Badolato, regularly running deep in events across Reno.

You might not be able to see this table from many parts of the casino, but the bets sliding out are making more quiet-noise than any bank of slot machines.

OK, this is a true, vintage, Dan The Table Killer moment. Not 5 seconds after I pressed the "publish," button,  .. the floor goes over and breaks the table I just described .... Nothing to See Here, Folks
