With registration closed for all three events on Day 1 of the Poker NV Fall Challenge here at Peppermill Reno, the numbers far surpassed May's opening day.
A total of 251 entries for the three events, a 26 percent increase over Day 1 for the inaugural Poker NV Challenge last May, shows the turnouts and payouts are going to be solid this series.
There were 78 entries for Event 1, the $220 Holde'em; 54 for the $110 Omaha and a big 119 for Event 3, the $110 Hold'em with Jason Somerville and Danielle Anderson playing, making a total of slightly more than $30,000 in payouts to start the 27-event series.
